What we target
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across this website. That is the target, and the sections below describe honestly how far along we are against it.
What has been built in
- Semantic structure. Real headings in order, landmarks, lists and tables marked up as such, so a screen reader can navigate the page rather than reading a wall of divs.
- Keyboard access. Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard. The navigation menus are buttons with
aria-expanded, and Escape closes them. - Visible focus. A two-pixel focus ring with an offset is applied to everything focusable, and it is never removed for aesthetics.
- Skip link. The first tab stop on every page jumps to the main content, past the navigation.
- Reduced motion. All entrance animations are disabled for anyone whose system requests reduced motion. There is no autoplaying video, no carousel and no parallax anywhere on the site.
- Text, not pictures of text. The diagrams on the home page and platform page are real markup, so they scale with browser zoom, reflow on small screens and can be read aloud. Decorative marks are hidden from assistive technology.
- Color is never the only signal. Run states, editions and status all carry a label or an icon as well as a color.
- Zoom and reflow. Layouts use relative units and reflow to a single column, so text can be enlarged without horizontal scrolling.
What has not been done
This is the section most accessibility statements leave out, so to be clear:
- No independent audit. This site has not been assessed by an external accessibility specialist, and we do not hold a VPAT or an accessibility conformance report.
- No formal assistive-technology test matrix. We have not completed structured testing across a defined set of screen readers, browsers and operating systems.
- This statement covers the website only. It does not cover the product interfaces, which are separate applications with their own accessibility characteristics. Ask us about a specific product and we will tell you what we honestly know.
We would rather state this plainly than imply a level of assurance we have not earned. If an audit is a procurement requirement for you, say so early and we will discuss it.
Telling us something is broken
If any part of this site does not work for you, please tell us — it is the fastest route to it being fixed, and we treat these as bugs rather than feedback.
Email hello@revoluzen.io with the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser you were using if you know it. We will acknowledge it and tell you what we intend to do.
